Description
Mahogany varies in color from medium light brown to medium reddish-brown with richer darker bands. The lighter bands in the grains make for a ribbon affect. Its grain ranges from straight to interlocked, with a texture that runs from moderate to medium-coarse. Used in furniture, cabinets, interiors, boat building, musical instruments, and veneer. From South America and Sapele from Africa.
